They have over 20,000 creators so far.<\/p>\n Here are the main features it offers:<\/p>\n We signed up for the free trial to see how Podia works.<\/p>\n The online course builder is the first section we came to. You can add files, links, text, and quizzes here, which will make up the bulk of your lessons. Once you have added the individual components of your lessons, you can drag them into the order that you want them.<\/p>\n Podia uses a rich text editor, which is actually very simple and intuitive to use. At first glance, it looks very plain \u2013 just a text editor with the option of adding headings, links, and bullet-point lists. However, you can add images simply by dragging them from your desktop and dropping them into the editor. Embedding videos is just as easy \u2013 all you have to do is copy and paste the link, and Podia will embed it into the lesson.<\/p>\n Similarly, you can upload files to your course simply by dragging and dropping them into the pop-up \u2018add files\u2019 box. It feels very intuitive and easy to use \u2013 you can create varied lessons here by adding videos, audio, images, and files. You can have your students access all this at once, or you can edit your \u2018drip\u2019 settings to allow students to unlock certain sections as they progress.<\/p>\n At any point, you can preview your course by pressing the \u2018preview\u2019 button.<\/p>\n You have access to all your settings here, including the course name and category, the enrolment date, and integrations with email marketing services (they offer integration with MailChimp, Drip, ActiveCampaign, Convert Kit, Zapier, and Mailerlite). Using Stripe, your members can pay a monthly fee to gain access to whatever it is you want to give them.<\/p>\n The first thing you\u2019ll need to do is set up a Plan. This is basically the overview of what you will be including in your membership website, and it can include courses and resources that you have already created on Podia. The rich text editor allows you to create blog posts and allows you to upload videos \u2013 this is great if part of your membership content is a series of video tutorials, for example, as you could bundle that with online resources.<\/p>\n You can control comments and pricing plans here, as well as see an overview of your sales and customers.<\/p>\n The Dashboard is the main area that you will see when you log into Podia. If you don\u2019t have any published content, there isn\u2019t much to see, but it will usually display an overview of your products.<\/p>\n The Editor is where you can control how your products appear to your customers.<\/p>\n There isn\u2019t a lot you can change in terms of themes \u2013 it\u2019s mainly editing the colour scheme. If you want full control over fonts, for example, you won\u2019t have that with Podia. However, you can add text, videos, images, a table of contents, columns, testimonials, and more \u2013 basically, this is the area where you can really show your customers what you have to offer them.<\/p>\n Customers can pay for your digital content using a credit card, PayPal, or Stripe. For each product, you can add upsells and coupons \u2013 great for generating more sales \u2013 and you can also change currencies. The cart is secured with 128-bit SSL encryption technology \u2013 so your customers should feel comfortable using it.<\/p>\n Podia offers email marketing as part of the package, with the option of sending one-off emails to your customers, or drip campaigns based on a certain trigger. Having this option is really useful, as it will enable you to have everything in one place.<\/p>\n You create emails using the rich text editor, which again is very simple and intuitive to use, with the option of adding images and embedding content. You can choose your recipients, create the content, and review it before sending it out.<\/p>\n You can choose to send a one-off email or create a drip campaign. Again, this feels very intuitive and simple to understand. You choose a trigger (for example, signing up to your course), and then you add the emails you wish to send.<\/p>\n Once you\u2019ve sent the emails, the \u2018report\u2019 section will give you some statistics, like the open rate and click rate of each email.<\/p>\n It\u2019s not as extensive as a dedicated email marketing service \u2013 for example, they don\u2019t offer advanced features like segmentation \u2013 but it works pretty well, and it\u2019s simple to use. You may decide to use a dedicated email marketing platform, in which case, Podia offers an integration (as we mentioned above).<\/p>\n The tabs at the top of the screen allow you to see an overview of your customers and your sales so far. The Sales section will show you how much of each product has sold when each item was purchased, and the total amount you have made. The Customers section allows you to find and edit your customers.<\/p>\n You can use more advanced analytics with Podia \u2013 they offer a step-by-step guide for installing and using Google analytics, for instance. This may take a little more technical knowledge, however.<\/p>\n One great advantage of Podia is the support they offer. The Help section of the site feels very welcoming, and it\u2019s a real strength \u2013 it feels as though they genuinely want to help you to succeed.<\/p>\n They offer clear, step-by-step guides on a variety of topics, including online courses, digital downloads, membership, email marketing, idea generation, case studies, entrepreneurship, marketing and sales, and more. There are a series of articles, too, which make for interesting reading.<\/p>\n The articles and guides are easy-to-read and are packed with illustrations and screenshots. They also offer a sales copy generator and a digital download generator \u2013 these are great if you\u2019re stuck for ideas. They sell a print book, too, if you wanted to learn more about selling digital products whilst having a screen break.<\/p>\n If you need specific help, there are troubleshooting guides, as well as a chatbot in the corner on every page. They say that their average response time is under two minutes \u2013 but you can also send them an email or leave them a message if you prefer.<\/p>\n The pricing is very simple, with only two payment plans to choose from. It can be tricky to keep on top of everything if you sell digital products online \u2013 running a course, designing resources, managing your customers and setting up email marketing all takes time and headspace, both of which are precious. Podia simplifies this by having everything in one space. Customers have described Podia as \u2018a breath of fresh air\u2019, which makes sense if you\u2019re used to using multiple platforms at once. You can\u2019t have multiple authors for the same account \u2013 this could be an issue if you want to run a series of courses, and in that case, you may be better off with a dedicated course building platform. If you look at some of the courses and products that have been created via Podia, you can see that they all look fairly similar \u2013 if you want more control over the design of your course, it may not be the right choice for you.<\/p>\n\n\n However, those points aside, Podia offers a great, user-friendly, and simple service.
